The AIM Health R&D Summit brings together academia, industry, and the military to promote collaboration in the development of life-saving battlefield technologies. Combining three events–Military Medical Industry Day, BexarBio pitch competition, and the San Antonio Military Health and Universities Research Forum–AIM brings together top minds from across the life sciences ecosystem to advance the military’s medical mission.
Military Medical Industry Day (MMID)
Designed to facilitate critical information sharing between the armed forces and the private sector, MMID connects military buyers with medical technology providers to promote the development of technologies to support America’s warfighter.
San Antonio Military Health and Universities Research Forum (SURF)
Presented by the University of Texas at San Antonio and UT Health San Antonio, SURF attracts presenters from around the nation to showcase the work of students, trainees, faculty, and staff with a goal to advance research collaborations among academic, military, and industry partners to improve health outcomes and readiness. SURF Participants present and share research, practice, and policy knowledge; and connect with scholars and practitioners from the SAMHS, academic institutions, and other public, government, and private organizations and industry partners.
BexarBio Pitch Competition
BexarBio is one of San Antonio’s largest cash-prize pitch events, awarding $100,000 in non-dilutive funding to deserving bioscience startups.
